Purdue University researchers have developed a new variety of apple. This variety is a large, red-orange apple with a good balance of sweet and acidic. It has a juicy flesh and a crisp texture and can be stored for over four months. This fruit is typically harvested in mid-October. Additionally, scab, a fungal disease common in areas of high rainfall and relative humidity, has not been observed on the leaves of the fruit.
